World Hand Hygiene Day 2026
Department of Microbiology, NRI Institute of Medical Sciences (NRIIMS), including faculty members, senior residents, and postgraduate students, actively participated in various awareness activities on the occasion of World Hand Hygiene Day 2026, organized by Arete Hospitals, Hyderabad at a national level.
Among 55 participating medical colleges across India, the Department of Microbiology, NRIIMS, secured First Place, ranking among the top six institutions with the highest number of entries.
Department of Microbiology demonstrated exceptional performance securing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes, along with multiple certificates of appreciation, recognition, and innovation.
This achievement reflects the department’s strong commitment to infection control practices, medical education, and promotion of hand hygiene awareness among healthcare workers involved in patient care and hospital safety.
